Many years ago, in a small gnome village, there lived a most gifted gnome. Gnomie had the greenest of thumbs, and could even bring plants that appeared dead back to life. He could always find any growing thing he sought.
On one fateful day, the powerful dark faerie, Crimson Moon, queen of the Unseelie Court, presented him with a task: to find and gather rare ingredients for a potion to cure her child. Gnomie put his heart, his soul, and all his powers into the task, but sadly, he returned with the components mere minutes too late to save the child. In her anger, the Queen froze him in place and sat him in her garden, that all would know her pain. The dark faerie relented after only one day, but before she could release her enchantment, someone stole away the petrified Gnome. For a hundred years now, Gnomie has been missing, motionless and frozen in time.
For years, Queen Crimson Moon searched anywhere gnomes could be found. Her heart was heavy, plagued with guilt and loss. Her Ladyship searched, she gathered all the creatures in her realm, used every trick and summoning power she knew, but to no avail. Gnomie seemed lost forever.
Now the twin courts of the faerie, both Unseelie and Seelie, alongside the courts of Mother Nature, meet in a grand Union to find the true Gnomie.
It is asked by all the courts that any gnome, no matter how small or large be checked. In this search, all beings, human or otherwise, are asked to aid, as the faeries gather at the 2016 Maryland Faerie Festival.
